Small Sided Football (SSF)

All Junior players from U6 to u10 in the WACFA competition play a modified form of 11-a-side football, called Small Sided Football (SSF).  SSF part of the National Curriculum of the Football Federation Australia (FFA).

SSF is designed to meet the needs of players in the age between 6 and 10 who have very different developmental characteristics and needs to adult players.  The philosophy of SSF focuses on participation  fun and enjoyment of the game, particularly in the formative years of a player’s development.

Lastly, at not any less important, is the role of a referee for our U6 to U10 teams. As a club, we are required to supply a referee to all small-sided-games when we are the home team. To find out what is involved in being a small-sided referee, please click here. As part of participating in the Western Australian Christian Football Association, all small-sided referees must be able to sign a Form 2, stating their christian faith and have it signed by their pastor.
